BATON ROUGE - Three men were indicted Wednesday on murder charges in the shooting death of 3-year-old Devin Page Jr.

Jayden Davis, 22, was indicted for second-degree murder after being taken into custody by U.S. Marshals in California. Jordan Anderson, 20, was also arrested for murder and indicted for first-degree murder; he was a juvenile at the time of the shooting.

Officials also said Jiles Vaughn was charged with first-degree murder. Records show he is currently incarcerated at Louisiana State Penitentiary for attempted second-degree murder and illegal use of a weapon connected to a 2023 shooting.

Page's home was shot just after 11 p.m. on April 12, 2022. The house was riddled with more than 40 bullets.

The toddler was hit in the head while he was sleeping and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials said the night before, a nearby house on Fairfields Avenue was also shot at. Detectives believe that the home was the intended target the night Page was killed.

Davis and the other individuals visited the other house several times leading up to that shooting, threatening the resident through messages, phone calls and social media posts, arrest documents say.
