NEW ORLEANS — Saints legend Drew Brees is set to receive another honor in New Orleans.

The Pro Football Hall of Famer will be inducted into the New Orleans Saints' Ring of Honor on Sunday, October 11, the team announced Tuesday.

Brees will be honored during an on-field ceremony at halftime of the Saints' matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.

He will become the ninth member of the Saints organization to join the Ring of Honor, alongside owner Tom Benson, kicker Morten Andersen, offensive guard Jahri Evans, linebacker Rickey Jackson, quarterback Archie Manning, linebacker Sam Mills, offensive tackle William Roaf and defensive end Will Smith.

Brees was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday after spending the final 15 seasons of his career with the Saints.

During his time in New Orleans, Brees established numerous franchise and NFL passing records and helped lead the Saints to the most successful season in franchise history, culminating in a 31-17 victory over the Indianapolis Colts in Super Bowl XLIV in 2010.

The Super Bowl victory remains the Saints' only championship in franchise history.

Brees retired following the 2020 season as one of the most accomplished quarterbacks in NFL history and one of the most beloved figures in Saints history.
