COLLEGE STATION, Texas - LSU soccer did not have a lead at any point over Texas A&M in the first 89 minutes, but it didn't matter. Ava Amsden put the Tigers in front for the first time all afternoon on a penalty kick, and LSU beat the Aggies 4-3.

As the ball found its home in the top left corner of the net, the Tigers erupted in joy. LSU finally collected a hard-earned second SEC win of the season, and collected an all-important three points in the conference standings.

The Aggies led LSU 2-0 after the first 20 minutes. Before the teams went in for halftime, Amy Smith scored to bring the Tigers within one. About 20 minutes into the second half, Sariyah Bailey scored to tie the game at 2.

Less than a minute later, Texas A&M went back in front, but another goal from Amy Smith tied the game at 3-3.

Amsden's penalty kick goal in the final minute gave the Tigers the win.

LSU has two games left on its regular season schedule. Their next game will be their final home game against Mississippi State on Sunday, Oct. 25.
