NEW ROADS — False River Academy partnered with the Pointe Coupee Early Childhood Coalition to host a dress-out day in honor of Dolly Parton, with all proceeds going toward Dolly's Imagination Library.

The program mails free, age-appropriate books to children from birth until 5 years old.

The False River Academy Parent Teacher Association sponsored a snack cart for faculty and staff, offering what organizers called a "cup of ambition" to recognize the hours staff put in beyond the standard "9 to 5" for students.

The school said Ms. Carnesia organized the fundraiser to support the Imagination Library partnership and Mrs. Beth was credited with bringing smiles across campus throughout the event.
