NATCHITOCHES — LSU football standouts Leonard Fournette and Patrick Peterson headline a nine-member ballot class to be inducted into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame next summer.

The LSHOF Class of 2027 also includes LSU baseball legends Aaron Hill and Ryan Theriot, two-time Triple Crown-winning jockey Robby Albarado, college baseball coach Jim Wells, high school football coach Hank Tierney, ULM women's basketball standout Lisa Ingram and former LSU defensive tackle and NFL Pro Bowler Henry Thomas.

The new class will be enshrined June 24-26 at the Hall of Fame's home in Natchitoches, culminating the 68th Induction Celebration.

A 40-member Louisiana Sports Writers Association committee selected the 2027 inductees after a three-week process. The panel considered 144 nominees from 23 sport categories, with 58 reaching the final phase of deliberations.

Three additional inductees from the contributors categories will be selected and announced later this year, bringing the complete Class of 2027 to 12 members and the overall Hall of Fame membership to 512.
