PRAIRIEVILLE — Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux in Prairieville is hosting its annual giveback fundraiser in honor of Allison "Allie" Rice on Wednesday, Oct. 21. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. at 14569 Airline Hwy.

A portion of sales and community donations gathered throughout the day will directly benefit the Live Like Allie Scholarship Foundation, an organization established to support local high school seniors and aid crime-fighting initiatives. T-shirts and bracelets will also be available.

Rice, a 21-year-old Geismar native and senior marketing student at Louisiana State University, was tragically shot and killed in September 2022 when she stopped at a railroad crossing on Government Street in Baton Rouge while returning home after a night out with friends.
