Franklin man arrested in Baldwin on multiple drug, weapons charges
BALDWIN — A Franklin man was arrested after St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office narcotics detectives found drugs and guns at a location in Baldwin, according to authorities.
Detectives went to the location to make contact with Andre Antoine Brown, 45, who had an outstanding warrant. Upon arrival, they located Brown and obtained a search warrant for the location.
While executing the search warrant, investigators seized illegal narcotics, drug paraphernalia and handguns.
Brown faces a range of new charges including possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance and multiple counts of possession with intent to distribute. Those drugs include methamphetamine, crack cocaine, marijuana, cocaine and alprazolam, along with possession charges for hydrocodone and heroin.
He also had an active narcotics warrant from the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office carrying additional charges. Those include intent to distribute cocaine, marijuana, heroin, synthetic marijuana, methamphetamine, MDMA and amphetamine, along with possession of alprazolam, drug paraphernalia and illegal carrying of weapons.

Brown was booked into the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. Bail has been set at $445,000.
