BTR aims to transition from city-parish governance to standalone airport authority by end of October
BATON ROUGE — The Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport is aiming to transition from city-parish governance to a standalone airport authority by the end of October, Baton Rouge Business Report says.
Airport Assistant Director of Aviation Louis Hubbard II told Business Report that the final stage needed to complete the transition is federal approval.
The new body, the Baton Rouge Regional Airport Authority, will govern the airport's long-term operations, financial management, infrastructure and strategic priorities.
