ST. GABRIEL — After closing last month, officials announced the Bayou Braud Bridge on Martin Luther King Parkway in East Iberville re-opened to traffic.

The new bridge is officially in place, and asphalt approaches have been completed. Officials advise drivers that temporary barriers remain in place; permanent barriers are expected to be installed soon as final project elements are completed.

The bridge was initially closed on Sept. 17.
