Walker officer now faces rape charge, previously arrested for alleged indecent behavior with juvenile
WALKER — An officer with the Walker Police Department now faces a rape charge after previously being arrested for indecent behavior with a juvenile, the Livingston Parish Sheriff Office said.
Hayden McKenzie now faces a second-degree rape charge after a woman contacted deputies about a sexual assault that took place in 2024.
"Based on evidence uncovered by our team, this investigation resulted in this new charge," LPSO Sheriff Jason Ard said.
McKenzie was initially arrested following a sexual assault complaint regarding an incident that allegedly occurred in April 2025. At the time, the victim was 13 years old, while McKenzie was 22 years old. He was booked for indecent behavior with a juvenile.

McKenzie is suspended with pay pending the outcome of an administrative investigation, Walker Police said.
