BATON ROUGE — Tara High School is funding student opportunity through its Angel Advancement Scholarship 5K Run/Walk on Nov. 7.

All donations and proceeds raised from the event will support scholarship opportunities for eligible students pursuing postsecondary education.

The event will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7 on the high school's campus at 9002 Whitehall Ave.

“The Angel Advancement Scholarship 5K is an opportunity for our community to come together and invest in the future of our students,” said Tara High Principal John Hayman. “We want every student to know that their dreams are worth pursuing and that they have a community behind them to help make those dreams a reality. Every contribution can make a difference in helping our students take the next step in their educational journey.”
