St. Vincent de Paul to open Divine Providence Village with 24 tiny homes
BATON ROUGE — St. Vincent de Paul is set to open Divine Providence Village near its campus in Baton Rouge.
The village will be a community of 24 tiny homes. The idea is to help people transition from homelessness toward stability and independent living.
Each home will be 144 square feet and available for men and women who have shown progress in St. Vincent de Paul shelters. People accepted into the program will work closely with a dedicated case manager on a plan for long-term success over the next 6 to 12 months.
