BATON ROUGE - One person was shot in the leg on Perkins Road near Kenilworth Parkway on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department.  

The victim was taken to a home on the corner of Napoleon Street and Myrtle Avenue, where first responders were called to. They carried the victim out of a home where the shooting happened before they were loaded into an ambulance. 

No additional information about the shooting has been released. BRPD is investigating.
