MONROE - Agents rescued a total of eight people, including hunters, boaters and stranded drivers, after they got stuck in winter weather in north Louisiana, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries said.

According to LDWF agents, on Saturday, they rescued two stranded boaters in the Wham Brake portion of the Russel Sage Wildlife Management Area in north Louisiana. LDWF said that the boaters were evaluated for hypothermia and released.

LDWF added that agents found three missing juveniles in a truck that was stuck in Upper Ouachita National Wildlife Refuge. An agent came to the children's aid, and they were rescued.

Two duck hunters stuck in shallow water and mud in the Red River were rescued in Bossier Parish.

An agent also helped the driver of a vehicle stuck in a ditch on the south end of the Upper Ouachita NWR Mollicy Unit.
