BATON ROUGE — As the country celebrates the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, several events are planned to commemorate the special 4th of July holiday in Baton Rouge and its surrounding areas. 

CENTRAL'S FREEDOM AND FIREWORKS

July 1, 4 p.m. - 8:45 p.m.

Settlement at Shoe Creek, 14150 Grand Settlement Blvd

Free event with live music, kids' activities and a fireworks show.

WALKER FOURTH OF JULY

July 1, 4 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.

Sidney Hutchinson Park, 30500 Corbin Avenue

Another free, family-friendly event featuring food, activities and music.

BATON ROUGE / KENILWORTH INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE

July 3, 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Kenilworth Parkway in Baton Rouge, about four miles south of LSU off Highland Road.

Free parade celebrating Independence Day.

BATON ROUGE CONCERT BAND JULY 4TH CONCERT

July 4, 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

The Main Library at Goodwood, 7711 Goodwood Blvd.

Free concert featuring patriotic music, marches, Big Band, and other Americana music to mark the day.

FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION AT LSU MUSEUM OF ART

July 4, 7 p.m. - 10 p.m.

LSU Museum of Art at the Shaw Center for the Arts, at 100 Lafayette Street, Sixth Floor, Shaw Center for the Arts.

Tickets required to be purchased beforehand. Includes fireworks, dinner by Tsunami, and music.

WBRZ'S FIREWORKS ON THE MISSISSIPPI

July 4, 9 p.m. - 9:25 p.m.

Riverfront Plaza & City Dock, 1650 Highland Road

WBRZ's Fireworks on the Mississippi, sponsored by Spencer Callahan, is an evening-long event. If you can't make it to the river, WBRZ.com will stream the fireworks show HERE, and the show will also be streamed live on the WBRZ YouTube page. The live stream will start shortly before 9 on Tuesday evening.

LOUISIANA OLD STATE CAPITOL: 4TH OF JULY EXTRAVAGANZA

July 4, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

The free, family-friendly event transforms the iconic castle into the perfect Independence Day destination with games, karaoke, crafts, and more for all ages. 

L'AUBERGE FIREWORKS EXTRAVAGANZA

July 4, 7 p.m. - 12 a.m.

L'Auberge Casino and Hotel Baton Rouge, 777 L'Auberge Avenue.

The lawn viewing party is free to all ages, but the edge party is free to people aged 21 or older. The rooftop pool viewing party will require a $20 cover for those aged 21 or older.

JULY 4TH FEST

July 4, 5 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Old Ferry Landing, 198-100 S. River Road, Port Allen, LA

Free event with food, live music, fireworks and other activities like water slides, a magic show, face painting and space walks. Fireworks begin at 9 p.m.

PLAQUEMINE JULY 4TH HOMETOWN CELEBRATION

July 4, 3:00 p.m. -  9:00 p.m.

Plaq. Community Center & Pavilion, 57845 Foundry St

Free event featuring a boat parade and fireworks.

ST. FRANCISVILLE 4Th OF JULY CELEBRATION

July 4, 6 p.m. 

DONALDSONVILLE INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

July 3, 4 p.m. - 10 p.m.

Held at Crescent Park along the Mississippi River levee. The family-friendly event will feature food vendors, live music, and a grand fireworks show over the river at dark.

JULY 4TH CELEBRATION BY BAYOU ARTISAN OASIS

July 4, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Bayou Artisan Oasis on Coursey will celebrate America’s 250th birthday with over 30 local artists, chefs and vendors showcasing their skills. 

AMERICA 250 ON THE RIVER CONCERT

July 4, 2 p.m.

Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser and the Louisiana America 250 Commission, alongside East Baton Rouge Parish Mayor-President Sid Edwards, the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge and Visit Baton Rouge, are hosting the event at Repentance Park, located between the Old State Capitol and the Raising Cane's River Center.

ROCKING ON THE RIVER 2026

July 4, 3 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Held at the Riverfront Plaza, located at 300 S. River Road in downtown Baton Rouge. Highlights include live music, food vendors, local vendors, and a Kids Market. Admission is free and will lead into the WBRZ Fireworks on the Mississippi.

PATRIOT’S RV RESORT AMPHITHEATER CONCERT - SATSUMA

July 4, 11:30 a.m.

Celebrate Independence Day at Livingston Parish’s newest destination. The Grand Opening Celebration will include an evening of live music, family fun, and a spectacular fireworks show at the Patriots Amphitheater. 

MORGAN CITY 4TH OF JULY LAKE BASH

July 4, 3 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Celebrate Independence Day at Lake End Parkway with food trucks, live music, and a fireworks finale over the water.
