BRFD investigating vacant apartment fire in Tigerland as arson
BATON ROUGE — The Baton Rouge Fire Department is investigating a vacant apartment fire in Tigerland as arson.
According to the fire department, the small trash fire broke out along Tigerland Avenue around 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Within 20 minutes of arrival, firefighters were able to put out the fire and stop it from spreading to neighboring apartments.
On Friday morning, fire investigators said that the blaze was intentionally set and is being investigated as an act of arson.
