PORT ALLEN — This week is National Fire Prevention Week, and the West Baton Rouge Parish Fire Department encourages everyone to check their smoke alarms and review their escape plans in the event of a fire. 

Chief Butch Browning and Fire Prevention Chief Katie Battaglia visited 2une In on Monday to discuss these ways to be prepared for fires, as well as raising awareness for lithium-ion battery safety, a key theme of the State Fire Marshal's campaign to promote safety during this year's National Fire Prevention Week.
