BATON ROUGE — Emergency officials are currently responding to a reported shooting that left one person injured on Harding Boulevard at Elton C. Harrison Street on Sunday evening. 

The shooting occurred around 6:10 p.m. near Southern University's Baton Rouge campus. The university issued a statement an hour after the shooting, saying that the situation was under control and no students were involved. 

"At this time there is no known threat to the Southern University campus, and no Southern University students were involved in the incident," the statement read.
