BATON ROUGE — Three LSU football players earned Southeastern Conference Player of the Week honors after a 51-10 win over Clemson in the first game of the season. 

The SEC named LSU quarterback Sam Leavitt the Offensive Player of the Week, Jordan Seaton the Offensive Lineman of the Week and Jordan Ross the Defensive Lineman of the Week. 

Leavitt ran for 113 yards and threw for 230 more while totaling three touchdowns — one passing, two rushing. 

Seaton played a key role on an offensive line that allowed LSU to rack up 335 passing yards and 309 rushing yards.

Ross reeled in an early 30-yard pick-six that gave LSU a 17-3 lead in the first quarter. He later made a tackle for a 4-yard loss and then an 11-yard sack, finishing the game with four tackles and a quarterback hurry. 

All three players made their first start for LSU on Saturday after transferring from other schools.
